The Women in Aerospace Exhibit and accompanying school visit curriculum allows students to learn about the accomplishments and careers of the women profiled. Gender stereotypes often dissuade women from pursuing their interests in the subject areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Visitors are invited to question stereotypes about the capabilities of women in STEM fields as they explore. The featured women have broken gender barriers, and many have also broken racial and cultural barriers too. With care for the past and an eye on the future, this exhibit is designed to inform and inspire a diverse range of audience members about the career paths in aerospace and beyond now available to everyone.
